Update-Lost Parrot Gina (Solvay)

This is on syracuse ny CL if anyone can help.

We have located Gina but now have a new problem. She is up extremely high in the tree, we can not reach her with our ladder. We tried calling the fire department, and we only recieved an answering machine with no reply back. We tried spraying her, so she couldn't fly but she ended up flying to a higher tree. She is located at 111 Draper Ave, in their back yard in a really high tree. If anyone knows any ways to get her down please let me know. Also, thank you to everyone whom has been helping out thus far it means sooo much to us.

an answering machine at a fire dept?! good thing it isn't URGENT or anything!!!  I would drive over there and walk into the building and ask for help.  answering machine mutter mutter mutter

Oh. I always thought there was always at least one person there all the time....still a little disconcerting...

I was thinking food too, BW.  maybe the power co with a cherry-picker? A great PR story for them?

Bring the cage to the area.  Any noises or calls the bird is used to, try it.  If there are any other birds this Parrot is housed with bring to the site in a cage.  If it starts getting dark make sure the area is lighted and kep trying everything.  Eventually the bird will get hungry and hopefully come down to the cage.  I just can't think of more right now :(  I still have hope and I pray it will happen!

I don't believe they have access to another fid, and they have the cage outside since yesterday. I hope she gets hungrey and goes home. I will email her and suggest power compsany.
