Please take no offense to this question, but why were you sold such a young un-weaned baby ?

Mocha is beautiful!  Makes me think of BW's Rockin days.  He is just a wee babe at that, maybe it is because of where he is vs us over here that he got him so young.  And he does seem to enjoy that "green stuff"...reminds me of Wasabi!!!   :o

Mocha traveled more than 400km to his new home. He is about 4 weeks old. There were more than 10 chicks in the seller's car. 2 of them were only 10 days old. I chose the biggest chick. Buyers prefer young chick because Hill Mynahs start talking between 2 and 4 months old.

The green stuff is weaning food for soft bill. Don't judge by his tiny size. He eats more than Koko when Koko was a chick.

He arrived in a big tray together with other chicks. I was not informed that I have to bring a container for him. Luckily the seller had a small pail for me.

Koko looked nervous on arrival of the mynah. Normally she was very busy body, she would perch on our shoulder to see what we were doing. But yesterday night she just sat still on her stand. After feeding Mocha, I made some oatmeal for Koko. She didn't want to eat. She wanted to be handfed like Mocha.  ::)
