saw this posted on there and it was awesome:
"Found my bird after 6 months in Vestal NY he flew over 1400 miles away he was flying south what a smart bird I have. I want to take the opportunity to thank this site without your help I would have never found him. I also want to thank Michelle and her family for taking such good care of him he is doing well a little hand shy but getting much better. I think that taste of freedom scared him for being away so long. I am happy to have him home I was heart broken but glad that we are together again he is apart of the family and it would not be the same without him. Thank-you all for your help this is a wonderful site!"

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.” St. Francis of Assissi My rescued and adopted feathered family... It is good to here a happy ending like that! Gives those hope who are dealing with a lost loved pet. There is always hope. Like Mar said it was a miracle but we found Zeus after him being in the woods for 6 1/2 days. I had given up buy I can't tell you the relief and joy the 3 of us felt when reunited after a week! Good stuff :)

Just wonderful to read a happy ending like that :) Yep, never give up hope. Gus was gone 3wks before he was found. The tears of joy are when reunited with a lost pet are the best ever shed, that's for sure!
