I got the Loretto employee newsletter today, and we made it in! This goes out to thousands of Loretto employees in Oswego, Syracuse, and Utica NY. I cannot pull it up on line, as they only post a very abbreviated version, but here is what it said

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Mary Ann Wise, LPN, part time night supervisor at Loretto Oswego was recently named to the Board of Directors as Fundraising Coordinator of "Second Chance Bird Rescue" in Rochester. This 501(c)3 organization takes in unwanted, neglected, and abused parrots and rehabilitates, provides medical treatment if needed and tries to find "forever homes" for them. They are always in need of volunteers, cleaning supplies, bird toys, food, monetary donations and more. You can also apply to adopt one of their feathered friends. For more information go to secondchancebirdrescue.com

She asked for a pic of one of my rescued fids, so there was this pic of Bella.

Good work.......It goes to the Syracuse staff too?

My dad has been in Loretto here in Syracuse for 5 years as he is disabled, his mind is still there fortunately! I will see if one of his aides will let him see it so he can read about where Sir William came from. He has only seen pictures of Will but he loves birds and misses being with his Bandit (moustached parakeet) and he loved Magnolia and all my other fids for that matter!
