Amazing, Sad and a must learn.* Swearing and very sad!*

Some may remember but this was posted at one time by Pepper's Pa from the Bird Channel Forum.  The reason he posted it then is the reason I am posting it now.  This may be hard to watch, very sad but there is something to be learned from it.

I kinda fast forwarded through this, and could not and will not watch it. I understood what was to happen here.
But you know what I think? I think somewhere deep in this schmucks heart, he purposely set up this absurd scenario knowing deep deep down that there was a better than very good chance that it would result in the death of his bird. He said it! He wanted to go home. He couldn’t, as long as he had this parrot. The mind is capable of withholding dark secrets from our everyday self. Now he can justify going home and not have to feel the guilt of having to rehome his friend.  I can't tell you the anger and sadness that bubbles up inside...

They were given wings to fly FREE...not owned...not fer you to keep as a PET....

Steal...literally Steal...there freedom away....the very same FREEDOM you...as a human seem to cherish....and protect...you steal from them....

There is a lesson to be learned from this video.....most will turn there backs...and walk away from such a LESSON....

LOVE your birds.....but when a new law comes across your desk that will REMOVE THE PARROT FROM THE PET LIST....SUPPORT IT.......

I cant watch it again, I posted that on bird channel a long time ago and it got removed because the guy swears in it...but I did not ever realize it at the time but I also posted it because it was so unsetting and stupid you can only hope people will learn from others mistakes.
I am not sure Debz you can see how much he loves the bird but then again….who knows people amaze me with their stupidity everyday.

I read from a post in a forum that a young CAG is not advisable to be trained to fly outdoor. CAG must be a least 6 years of age before they could start outdoor training because older greys are more emotionally and mentally stable. This particular guy owns a 17 years old grey and he carries him to work. That Grey will stay most of the time on his shoulder, but at times fly to a nearby tree or other roosting place and just watch and look around. Then return to the owner when he wishes or is called. This is an advice from this owner.

i watched it...you don't see the bird get killed, it's just the owner talking about how his CAG flew outside and caught a gust of wind  and got lost. Although humankind is extremely ignorant and stupid, i feel for this guy. he seems genuine. but then again, you never know.

even though parrots are wild animals, ones that are born in captivity and raised in captivity with no intention of ever being set free and not equipped to be in the wild. they were never taught the skills needed to be wild. humans can not compare to the animals natural mother.

even though they're wild, it would be cruelty to set an animal free into this violent world without being properly prepared and taught how to survive. especially when it's not even their native habitat.

I know this guy didn't set it free intentionally...im just stating my thoughts.
seems as though this guy just wanted to give his parrot quality of life but ended up unfortunately in a worse situation than merely having a pet parrot.  :-\

I agree Heartlets 100 % . To take my fids and set them free would be the ultimate cruelty to them at this place in their life. No skills, no teaching from their flock or their parents on how to wild forage, predator danger, survival skills,...it would be a much greater injustice to them than keeping them safe and fed and loved, even if they do live a life with me.
