Hi Everyone. Since Barb is having problems with the SCBR site, I thought I'd post this here. We're doing a fundraising garage sale at my house this week (Friday and Saturday). I'm in the Rochester area and if anyone would like to stop over to help or donate any items, PM me and I'll give you my address.

My neighborhood is having a street sale and I thought it would give us some good exposure. I have a garage full of stuff I need to get rid of and my husband can't wait. So let me know if you want to come over. And if anyone wants to stick around afterward, bring your suit for the pool (or hot tub if it stays cold), and we can have a picnic, snacks, or whatever you want. My kids are all going to Cedar point this weekend, so the house is ours.

I just sent out a package to Chance and there are some items in there she can sell at the garage sale if she wants.  I will pm you for details if I think we can make it down.

Update: The sale is over! I didn't sell everything, but overall it went well. I am exhausted, but had fun and made some money for the rescue. I got creative and brought the birds outside and set up a table with SCBR flyers and a fish bowl for donations. I told everyone who came over that the sale was a benefit for the shelter. A few people gave me donations and took the flyers. Maxie and Cozzie entertained and the kids loved them. The weather was great too. My neighbors and I decided to close early. The nice thing is that I got to meet a lot of my neighbors and now we're planning a picnic.

Kim and Rob came over for a bit. As soon Kim picked up Maxie, Maxie called her a son-of-a-bleep. Nice way to introduce herself, huh? Maxie also called another woman that and the woman asked me if she heard her right. I said, yeah, you never know what she's gonna come up with. She thought it was hysterical, but I was a little embarrassed. The kids couldn't stop laughing and they were stopping over every 10 minutes or so. They were my best customers and I gave them some freebies before I closed up the shop.

It was fun. Now I'm gonna take a nap.  crazy2.gif

No pix. I was too busy selling. I'm getting pretty good at this though. Thinking about changing careers.

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.
