A very nice "extremely respectful" couple just called me from Georgia, seems they have a Pigeon, this bird arrived at there home 2 years ago with a broken wing...they said they have been trying to get help but nobody will help a Pigeon...hmmmmm sounds all to familiar..
The bird is beyond help,, she will never fly again...now it seems they came home to find a one leg Pigeon...They thought the leg was completely gone...then one day the bird did put the leg down and saw it was broke...again they tried to get help....now it seems 15 days have passed and they found me...
They did speak to some people that told them about the eggs and how to allow her to keep her egg's until she discarded them....but they said she eats the shells...(bacteria issue)...
I advised them on how to restore her calcium level safely and also "the leg must be removed" and explained how to do it...
I also recommended that they find this little female a mate...they can control the babies by following my advise...
I have never spoken to such people so concerned about a Pigeon...
I asked what was the material used for her cage...they said chicken wire...I said "even in the bottom"...they said yes...Not Good...this explains the broken leg...
I explained how to place a solid bottom in the bird cage...
I also recommended a brick for a perch..something flat and at least 4 inches wide...

The bird of peace....and 2 very loving souls...

When all is done that is asked from me and I can fly no higher, I pray this day his hand extends to welcome home a flier.

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
