Awe I am so sorry to hear this. Sadly its really a fight for the last hatched to survive , they are so small, and get pushed out by the bigger babies.

Yeah I was pretty upset aout it at first, but they are animals and they are just doing what comes natural to them. I would of pulled the biggest baby out if I had seen the problem coming, but the little baby made it for 3 full days so I thought he was going to be ok. I guess though, there are instincts that we just cant predict will come out, or if they wont.

The others are doing great! I have a couple new pics of the oldest baby, who I think is going to be really dark blue or Slate! I also have some pics of Cos and Pix in the box with the babies, Ill put them on PB later so I can share them with you guys.

Well im about 50% sure that the first baby will be Grey/slate in color! YIPEE! Im excited! Hopefully he has a good personality because if he does that will be the one I keep. I have wanted a slate one for a long time! So if I keep him and hes grey his name will be Fenrir (Fenrir Greyback actually, lol)

I'm so sorry about that little baby.  :(

That is exciting that their colors are coming in! :D I don't think I've ever seen a grey budgie before--are they rare?

Hannah,
If you look at the pic you have of Cosmo and pixies previous clutch, there is a grey one in there. They are more rare but not that rare.

Oh, I must have missed that!  :o  I just looked back at the picture--that is a really cool color!  It reminds me of the color of the walls that we have in our basement--very pretty!  :)

It's amazing that those little clumps of meat will soon grow into magnificent animals. I've never seen a baby bird up close... what do their head look like!? lol
