Such a big boy. He looks like the king of his domain on top of the garage.

Momma Robin comes to feed Rockin

I set Rockin free this morning as usual, Rockin can fly very well now....not up....kinda directly accross...to me...hehehehehe.

After a few flight lessons I place Rockin back in the cage and sit on the table on our deck....

Went to check on him-her.....here was this Robin with something in her mouth trying to give it to Rockin...so I grabbed the camera and set Rockin free....

This is what I have been waiting for.....but....the time came for me to go to work...had to put Rockin back in the cage and bring in the house...

Anytime now...anytime....

That is so huge!  Rockin's interaction with the other Robin I believe will go a long way for him.  I also think it's just a matter of time now O0

Sooo many Robins...weather this bird is Rockins momma is beyond me...but I do know...this Robin did feed Rockin...then went to look for more to feed...
I honestly do not know just how far this situation would have went.
I do know there are stray cats here...had to chase one away again this morning...
I will not part with Rockin unless I am completely confident of his/her ability to fly...
Rockin is flying....not so far...but I am seeing more maturity each day...
I do worry about our relationship...Rockin flies to me where ever I go...the cat issue...is Rockin feeling safe around cats "we have 2 here in the house"...Will Rockin fly up to humans when set free...????
So many worries....
I may have to take Rockin to a Reserve...like where I work for the release...but again...humans everywhere...
So many things to consider....
I guess all I can say is..."I have provided all the tools needed to survive...now its time for you to fly"....
Soon this day will come....as always the tears...they will fall...another little life was saved.
Another will find there way to us...and the process begins again...

Rockin takes to the trees.

Some of the pictures are blurry, Had a hard time today keeping track of where Rockin was...

I fed him/her 2 worms...then he/she was to heavy to fly..hehehehehe.

Tomorrow morning....no feeding...we will see what happens.

Rockin is becoming independent...I noticed curiosity yesturday, Rockin spent more time searching around than near my side...

I actually thought today Rockin would say goodbye...but he/she stayed close to home..

Rockin and I thank you all for following his/her story.

Rockin flew more this morning, he/she was attacked by another Robin.
I had to break it up and shoo the older bird away.

Rockin simply isn't ready yet and I sure want this little bird to be able to defend him/her self.

Rose said she let Rockin out again last night while I was at work, said Rockin stood up to a squirrel fairly well...

I seen a younger Robin near Rockin today...curiously.

Rockin isn't very large compared to other young Robins...Its not time yet, I don't feel good about a release yet....

I have a feeling and it just isn't setting well with me...

Shame on me...guess it wasn't my decision weather Rockin goes free or not...little creep won't allow me to catch him/her.....fly's everywhere...and its time for me to leave for work...
Guess I will have to leave a message for Rose to keep her eye open when she gets home...

Rockin is free.....
