Thank you, thank you.  You can stop applauding now!  I had my first bird, a budgie named Tweety, when I was about thirteen or fourteen, I think.  Then, not wanting him to be lonely, I got another, Sweet William, who was handicapped.  After they passed, I didn't have birds for many, many years.  Then, maybe 8 or so years ago, I got two keets,  Tweety and Birdie.  Later came Pearly, a male cockatiel, then Clyde, an Indian Ringneck, was given to me, the lady's husband didn't want him.  About a year ago, I met Babycakes,my caique, it was love at first sight, so he joined the flock.  Sadly, last summer, my keets passed away.  I said "ok, no more birds," within 2 weeks I went and got Albert and Victoria, 2 keets.  I also have three dachshunds, a guinea pig, 2 outside cats, and a toad.  I think that's everything.
About me, I am a mother of 2 daughters, and grandmother of 5, 4 girls and a boy.  I work in the bakery of a major grocery chain.  Up until a few months ago, I was terrified of computers and only used one when I had to at work.  If you had told me 2 years ago I'd be sitting at a computer discussing such subjects as bird poop with people I've never met, I would have called you crazy!  I like Steven King books and movies, J R R Tolkien's works, Harry Potter, Ghost Hunters and some other stuff.  I lead a pretty boring life, I guess!  Oh, and I love parrots simply because they are.

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.
