I think our first baby Lovie may be here!  :o  Their cage is to the right of the bottom of the stairs and when I got up I thought I heard little peeps!  D should know more when he gets them up this am.  I'm going to be a nervous wreck today at work!  Is there anything we have to do?

Aww...Congrats on the hatching of your first grandfid  :) Just keep an eye on everyone and make sure mom is feeding baby. Jane has been so good and protective while sitting I'm sure she'll do just fine as a momma. Jane will most likely remove the eggshells and any droppings the babies produce from the nest. Congrats again, can't wait to see pics of the wee little one and the rest to come  :)

I noticed peeps before I went to bed.  I then filled their bowl with some food for the nite just in case.  I will find out shortly after my shower ;)

Mom and dad will do all the work, you just need to watch and be sure they are feeding them, if not you will need to pull them and hand feed them yourself, you also have to watch that mom and dad do not get aggressive with the babies, first time parents sometimes will attack the babies, and bite of legs toes etc... so just keep a close eye on them, and increase their calcium intake.

Tarzan now wants to be in there with her more or goes right to the top of the hut.  Very protective!  I did get to see a tiny little pink alien in there with black eye peas for eyes (eyes to be that is when open!)
Will keep ya updated!
