They are very beautiful birds! 

Back in the 1990s (yep I am that old!  ) my Mom bought a trio of white peacocks~~a male & 2 females. She had hopes of raising them, but after bringing them home we found out the male was totally blind. Took him to the vet who was not an avian vet and he determined he had not been fed properly and it caused him to go blind. We had to give the bird some vitamin shots & feed him some special foods for awhile. He never did regain his sight, but went on to live a long 'fatherless' life. 

We had a pair of the indigo colored peacocks too, but never could get them to raise babies either.
