As you all know, my hubby is always giving me a hard time about adopting another bird. I told him I would keep bugging him until he said yes! LOL! Especially now that the Linnies have been rehomed.

Well I was on craigslist a couple of weeks ago (I need to stay away from there! LOL) and saw a Blue Crown Conure up for adoption. Beautiful little guy. Here is his pick:

Here is the link on craigslist: http://images.craigslist.org/00D0D_bhgve6YCHG4_600x450.jpg

Anyway, I had read many great things about this breed and was interested in them way back when I initially got the linnies. They were actually a breed I was really considering. The problem is, they are expensive, no one breeds them close by and I never see them for rehome up here. So I went the Linnie route.

I contacted the owner and she had two people already interested. So I kind of figured I had no chance. Well she reposted him on Thursday and he is still available. I really want to try to get a bird that the kids and hubby can interact with this time. He is supposedly really friendly. Anyway, I told hubby about him and told him that this breed is not readily available and everything I have read about them has been good. He agreed to go see him and wanted to be the one to try to hold him when we do the visit. These guys are one of the larger conures, so he will be a good fit for my hubby to get to know. Not too big, but not to small and fragile either!

So I am super excited! I did promise that this would be our last bird. And I meant it. 4 is enough for us to care for and interact with on a daily basis.  stupid1
