Around the new year I bought myself a book from a lady on Facebook, its called 'the parrot told me' written by Rachel Rawlings and so far its a really good read. The parrot in the story is an African Grey called Simon, who's human dies mysteriously, and after Simon goes to live with the woman's neighbour, he starts screaming and behaving oddly whenever he hears certain music. His new human starts to suspect foul play and his old owner was probably murdered! I can't wait to read the next chapter  thumb

I'm enjoying it so far thanks Wendy. Last time I knew Rachel was writing one with a cockatoo as the main character, I shall look out for it x

Thanks!  And I do have the cockatoo book coming out in the fall and am writing one with a cockatiel!
I've started the outline for another with a macaw as well!
Busy and fun!

Oh Wow!! We have a celebrity in our flock!!  handshappy thumb

I have not seen your book, will have to check this out further. I love books about animals or intellectual books that teach me about the things I am interested in such as my birds, dogs, hobbies~~

You will have to keep us informed each time you come out with a new book. i will be waiting for the macaw book as they are my favorite of all the parrots!!  loveuk

 :woohoo:
So it's been awhile since I've talked to anyone on the boards, but I'm planning on crawling out of my writing hole and talking again!
The Cockatoo Called is due out this December, so stay tuned!
And for anyone who likes free books.....
If you sign up on my website (look up my name and wix) and leave your email (or just message me your email) I'll put you on a list. I'm sending out a novel, one chapter at a time!
This one features a cockatiel, so if you know anyone who wants to read a mystery with a little birdie, spread the word!
