Very cute  Let me tell you about my Toos . My Rb2s were way different than my white Toos . really want your attention [with their pink puffy cheeks]. But they want to do their own thing . My goffin and Ls2 are the show offs want lots of attention and scritches. But the one who cuddles the most like what you read about Toos is the Eloanoria . Big to me but he is a medium size Too. I believe the real cuddlers are the bigger Toos.

I am gathering he has calmed down now and you don't have to hide under the table anymore?

Sassys Daves bird, he will snuggle with him all day  smile3. When we first met him ,his owner had a leash on his ankle. We could not understand why,she sent it with us . We understood why now . She used to take him everywhere and would have that on him so he wouldn't fly and attack people. She had done this all his life [hes 25 yrs old]. We decided to have it on him at night when he was hanging out with Dave[ and we wouldn't have to hide upstairs  smile3 ].I don't believe in those ankles things. But it helped us work through his issues . Now he doesn't wear it . I was afraid we were going to end up with bites that needed stitches. Now hes Daves favorite bird and loves him to death . So we figured him out. Im happy that he has this relationship with him . His owner was so sad to have to get rid of him [her baby for all those years].She had bad breathing problems. Good thing he ended up with us. I don't think people would have even tried with him [or knew what to do ] He might have had many homes  . Moral of my story do not spoil your male white Toos

Terri, you are so correct, the big Toos are so easy to spoil. We spoiled ours when he first came to us, took an awful lot of time to unspoil him, a lot of blood. By spoiled I mean making him so dependent on us he didn't know how to play on his own, but hey, we were new to all this. Now 13 years later we have a beautiful, crazy, well rounded dumpster chicken who knows how to play by himself. Gotta love those U2s!

Did you know most people give up their Toos within 10 years? Just a tidbit of info.

You think its because  they have hit their maturity by then ? Or is it maybe its because any issues like screaming ,biting ,plucking are full blown by then.

Noise, maturity.  Believe it or not many birds don't pluck until they hit a bird rescue, they can't take the chaos of a rescue, yet many others start for a whole host of reasons. Powder started after we were robbed, but has since stopped entirely after a year and a half of plucking at his legs. He's fully feathered and full of piss and vinegar!      Believe it or not his hormone seasons are not bad at all, he just gets a bit nippy, so at 15 he's not bad as U2s go. I'm told they mellow out as they get older.............I'll believe that when I see it.   :lol1:
