Decided to do a little cooking for my flock for their Christmas gifts. They all love my breads really well. So what better gift from Santa Macaw than a big batch of birdie bread!  thumb  Their gonna' be mighty happy when breakfast comes in the morning.

Fruit based bread waiting to cook.

Veggie based bread partially cooked.

Veggie bread finished & cooling.

Fruit bread finished & cooling.

Bread ready to cut up & store for use.

All bagged up ready to go into the freezer. The bags in the middle is rice/noodle mixed veggie blend cooked a few days earlier.

They did love every smacking bit of it this morning.  I gave them some of both flavors and the rice/noodle mix with veggies.

Even Kachina Raye has become a convert. At first he eouldnt touch cooked foods of any kind. His breeder Mom gave them sprouts as their fresh foods but with so many to care for she didn't give them cooked foods. I don't have the time to mess with sprouting my own so frozen thawed & fresh cut up veggies is the best I can do with the cooked foods added every other day.

Wendy my recipe is basically throw anything and everything  you think might be good for them into the bowl, mix it all together & bake it, for the breads.  dmblaf But...just for you I will add my simple recipe  here when I'm off again.   thumb
