December BP Photo Competition ~*Happy Holidays*~

Hi Folks, I would like to announce the BP Photo Competition for the month of December is starting today. A wee bit late, but "Hey" it ain't everyday we have a 2nd tiebreaker poll and end up with a double winner month!! 

This month's subject/theme was chosen by Wendy and Maddy for co-winning  last month's competition. They have chosen ~~*Happy Holidays*~~ for our subject/theme this month and this is what they would like to see in the photos you enter:

Wendy and I have chosen the theme "Happy Holidays" for this month's photo comp! Pictures of your birds with your Holiday decorations, like your Christmas tree or Menorah, and so on!

All photos need to be entered right here on this page. Only one photo entry per competition. Every member including staff is eligible to participate. The winner of this month's competition will choose the subject/theme for January's photo competition. And the winner will also get one of our 'Best Photo Award' Icons  added to their signature area. This Icon will remain on their signature and each new win will get another Icon added to their signature.  handshappy

The Competition will run from today December 11th til midnight (Central Standard Time in the US) on the 26th of December. On December 27th I will be adding the Poll with all the photo entries for everyone to vote on their favorite entry.

Since this competition started a little late this month and is about sharing 'The Holidays' with our feathered kids as well I want to extend the photo entry date to include Christmas Day. So, if ya'll happen to snap a few photos of your bird/flock enjoying in the fun of unwrapping of the presents and want to enter one for the competition, please do! Or maybe you might just catch Santa Macaw sharing a birdie treat with your feathered kids when he stops by on Christmas Eve. What an awesome photo that would be!!   




Photo Competition Rules:

1. No copy write photos - Please make sure you have permission to use the photo you submit.
2. No photos depicting birds in dangerous situations.
3. Only one entry per competition - If you need to remove or change your submitted photo, please contact one of the staff members with your reason to do so. It is at our digression to determine
    the need for changes.
4. Keep photos within the subject/theme topic.
5. All photos need to be entered here on this page.
6. And last but not least - Let's all have fun!!

I'll have the tree up and decorations next week, so hope to take one or two of jasper with the 'pretty tree' as she calls it, or even opening her presents for once (stranger things have happened)

Sounds great Jules. We will be anticipating some fantastic photos for this competition. 

That will be awesome if everyone can get a photo or two of the feathered kids opening their gifts or chewing the wrapping paper or the box the gift came in or tree or...

Yes Wendy, just why didn't you get a photo of Codie's debut as "A Partridge In A Pear Tree"?   

That would have been a super photo. Everyone would be taking a look at it wondering where the Green Bird was in the Green Tree!!

You haven't heart from me for a while, because I've been very bussy.
I have a temperary job till the 1st. of February 2015 which takes a lot of my time.
So lack of time has been te reason why I wasn't active at BP.

I and my pets (U2 Maxi, CAG Alex, DYH Amazon Beertje, Jenday Conure Jopie, Greencheek Conure Kiwi, my Cockatiels a.o. Chico, Happy and Angel, my 2 Pacific Parrotlet brothers, my 2 Chihuahua's Vicky & Lisa and my two new kittens Lulu & Bram) wish you all "Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!".
At my printed this years Christmas-card my U2 Maxi is representing us all with her cute picture dressed up as Santa Claus! Here is that same picture of her I used at my printed Christmas-card.
