I cooked this for the flock for tonights dinner!  It contains whole wheat noodles, mung bean threads, rice threads, brown rice, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, shredded broccoli, shredded cabbage, pea pods, celery, seasme seeds, thai chilis, peas and ginger.  I cooked the rice, noodles, etc and let the veggies steam in them after!  I hope they like it AddEmoticons04239

That is similar to something I had tried too.  I used broccoli slaw, water chestnuts, carrots, bamboo shoots and those little corn ears.  I steamed it all and put in ginger.  They LOVED it.  I hated the smell though.

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.

Kito and Taj ate non-stop!  Syd sat there for a long time with a long rice noodle hanging from his beak!  Yep they really loved it!  I don't love the smell of ginger either but at least they did!

Well, ya know how Yoshi plays with the spices while I am cooking in the kitchen?  The ginger is the only one he has constantly opened to get some out!  Yep i would say he likes ginger.
