I love seeing parrots in natural settings even if it is in the US.  hugu I only wished they were found naturally here so we could all enjoy them inside our house & out in our yards.  hugu

I had a Mexican Red Headed Amazon in the early 1990s. He/she was the quietest parrot I've ever owned. he wanted nothing to do with anyone, any other parrot nor any toys. He was content to sit quietly on his play perch & eat. Boy could he eat!  dmblaf I suspect he was a wild caught smuggled bird that was an old ex breeder bird.

The previous owner had her son in California bring her a "Nanday Conure" to breed with her Nanday she already had. She didn't like him (I named him Cisco Red) because he wouldn't breed with her Nanday. I told her by the description she gave me over the phone that she had an Amazon, not a Conure. She didn't care, she just wanted to sell him.  :lol1:

I also had an Orange Wing Zon at that time, but he could be very noisy. He (I named him Mikki Blue Love. His name was supposed to be Mr. Mick) had this nerve wracking loud high pitched beeping noise he would do as if calling someone or some bird in his past. I think he had had a mate somewhere that he had been taken from. The previous owner which was his 3rd never took him out of the tiny cage he lived in. Within 6 months of being at my home I trained him to step up and play on a portable perch. He never liked being held, but did allow a few neck scritches when out.  happyjack
