I thought I would have a go at making toys today! I have never done this before, so you are not allowed to laugh at my first attempt  :hehe2:

I think you did a mighty fine job at your very first toy.  And I don't even call it an 'attempt' - I call it a SUCCESS.  clap

Before you know it you'll have a TON of toy-making supplies, and you'll find yourself almost addicted to making your own things for your fid(s)

Yup, I look at catalogs and online photos for inspiration, then I run out and gather supplies and try to imitate what I've liked the most.  It's fun, it really is.  And my goodness, it's saved me boatloads of money on the big macs, who can be quite the beavers at times.  shk

Yes, I am already looking at toy making parts and have a feeling it is going to become a bit of an addiction, plus it will save me lots of money  clap

I received an invitation recently to a toy making "bee". In essence, you bring your toy making supplies and everyone else does as well. Everyone can choose from anybody's supplies. You sit around making toys and gossiping. The only thing that would be better is to add a pitcher of martinis

That is a very adorable toy and quite good work Wendy!!  thumb it is well made & thought out.  You will find it a blessing to make your own if your Macaw Fabie grows into a chewer like most macaws tend to be. When they want to they can rip a big toy to bits in a matter of minutes!!  dmblaf

I'll go for a nice glass of Bailey's Irish Cream in milk with lots of whipped cream in it!! That's about all I will drink on occasion.  Wendy you & me could get quite snockered it sounds if we were together roaming the Cow Town streets of Texas!  :ys:  "chick"  :faint:

George, I have seen those toy making get together parties on FB and wished I knew more than one real time friend (that's all I do know personally & she lives 150 miles away) that I could set one up and have fun at. But alas, I don't know folks around here that own parrots. All my birdbrained  headhammer friends are on the internet far far away!  cry
