Hi Folks, I would like to announce the BP Photo Competition for the month of August is starting today. This month's subject/theme was chosen by Blanca (VTBirdLover) for winning last month's competition. Blanca chose *Feet* for our subject/theme and this is what she said she would like to see in the photos you enter. "I think for this months subject, I want the theme to be "Feet". Some examples would be doing something fun with their feet. Playing with a toy, waving, eating, etc. Just doing something with their feet. Does that make sense! It always fascinates me how well they use those little toes to do things!" Please remember to include your bird's name so we can add it to the photo for the poll at the end of this competition. This should be a really fun photo shoot this month. Can't wait to see all those feet in action. handshappy
All photos need to be entered right here on this page. Only one photo entry per competition. Every member including staff is eligible to participate, except the member donating the prize.
This month's prize is being donated by Blanca (VTBirdLover). She has so kindly donated a box of her delicious chocolates she makes for her adoring customers at her Middlebury Candy Store she owns and operates. They are truly 'To Die For' awesome!!
The winner of this month's competition will choose the subject/theme for September's photo competition.
The Competition will run from today August 5th til midnight (Central Standard Time in the US) on the 21st of August. On August 22nd Debra will be adding the Poll with all the photo entries for everyone to vote on their favorite.Photo Competition Rules:
1. No copy write photos - Please make sure you have permission to use the photo you submit. 2. No photos depicting birds in dangerous situations. 3. Only one entry per competition - If you need to remove or change your submitted photo, please contact one of the staff members with your reason to do so. It is at our digression to determine the need for changes. 4. Keep photos within the subject/theme topic. 5. All photos need to be entered here on this page. 6. And last but not least - Let's all have fun!!Good luck everyone and let's see those *Feet* Photos!!

Miss Molly is definitely a Big Ham. I love that 'Sweet~Girlish Coquette' look she is giving with her wave.

Here is my entry of Angel my Catalina macaw cracking an almond.
Now that is not really an amazing feat for a parrot, especially a macaw with their strong huge beaks. What makes this photo unique to me is the fact that my Angel can't use his feet and legs to stand up on like a normal parrot does due to birth defects. With sheer determination to be 'normal' Angel can do everything else his brother Roscoe can do and quite well at that!

Love that photo of Codie copying your Mom Wendy!! He is so cute when he is in 'awww' of her. She seems to have a "Secret Admirer" who is not so secretive about it.
Blanca even tho your photo of Savannah can't officially be in the voting, it is super adorable!! I love how they sometimes find unique ways to sleep.

Hey Folks, we sure could use a few more photo entries on here of your adorable birdies using or showing their feet in funny amazing ways!
These contests are fun and you never know, you just may have a superstar in your flock with the winning pose that gets you a tasty box of chocolates from Blanca.
But to win those chocolates and make your Fabie a 'Household Name' you gotta' enter him/her. I know there's a lot of feathered kids who would love to come join us here and enter this competition. But it's got to be Mom or Dad who gets their darlings photo on the page.

, here is a photo of my CAG Alex. He holds his head with his foot here, as if he's a great thinker like Einstein or so. He's very smart though and can talk very well (in Dutch!). Greetings from the Netherlands, Rita

Oh, I love both those pics, Rita. Now, you have to decide which one of these 2 you would like as your entry for the competition as you are only allowed 1 entry.
