Tomorrow Is The Day~~Dakota Day~~

Welp, tomorrow we leave between 4:00 to 5:00am to head to South Texas to pick up Dakota, my Rose Breasted Fabie! 

I do have an update photo Michael his breeder sent a little while ago. He says Dakota is ready to meet me and loves head & neck scratches~~Sounds like a typical Cockatoo!!! 
I'm taking mt Canon T4i camera with me, so I should have a few of my own photos to post some time tomorrow evening or night.

De, I am so happy for you  I know how long you have been waiting for this day to come!

I will be thinking of you all day! Have a safe trip and let us know the minute you get home with your new little treasure

Thanks Wendy!!  I will have my tablet & my WiFi thingy with me, plus my phone and my camera so i will be in touch throughout the day where I have internet coverage. 

We leave shortly, just as soon as I get finished getting ready and feed the fiddies who will not be pleased with getting up this early. They are used to a 7:00 wake up call, my kids are good babies & know their schedule wake up time.  They will survive & soon it will be in-service time again & this will be the usual time for me to be up & feeding them for the 4 days of that!!

Thanks Kendra & Terri! I will have today & tomorrow with Dakota, but I go back to work Sat. He will need time to himself to figure out where he landed and why all the other birds in the house don't speak his language. 

10 mins into the trip earlier Jerry almost wiped out the Beetle on a deer! I told him I would have beat him with the body parts if he had!  The sun is up now so we can see all the little "whatsits" scurrying about much easier now.

   Tell Ruby I'm glad she is having fun. Green Wings just know how to enjoy life, don't they!

Thanks Blanca! It was hard to sleep, but I managed about 3 hrs.    It's a long drive, wished it was closer, but just about all the aviaries are down south of me and in Texas that means a long long way!

Thanks Audrey! We are 59 miles from Lockhart where the breeder lives. But we have to get through the Austin traffic to get on the other side and on our way to Dakota. So it may be 11:00 or 12:00 before we get there.

Picked Dakota up a little while ago. He is gorgeous and super sweet. Went right to me and up on my shoulder, was giving me kisses and puffing his sweet pink cheeks out. Acted like he knew I was his special human he belonged to.

My tablet froze up on me around Austin. Looks like a trip to the doctor for it. It's really new so should be still in warranty & I got the extended one too. It may have caught a virus!! Makes me mad if it did!!!
