For those of you who know me and my fids, you know I've been really busy and have not had much time to posts on the forums lately. So I am making an attempt to update everyone on each of my fids!

Many of you know already, Quincy turned 14 March 27 of this year!

I started harness training with Quincy mid may. We are taking many baby steps. Step 1: Get Him Used To The Harness!

I took Quincy to project independence also in May. That is a senior day program in our area. My mom goes once a week. I brought Savannah and Quincy and everyone enjoyed them both. Below is a pic of Quincy back in his carrier right before we left hanging out with my mom.

Here is Quincy helping me make some chop!

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!

I think I'm going to pop some feathers! Boy I'm stuffed!

As many of you may recall. I stopped bringing Quincy to my shop because we were getting too busy and all the people were making him nervous. On March 25 I started bringing him in again once a week and he seems to be enjoying it! I keep him on the playgym rather then on his cage and he seems to like that better. I am so glad he is enjoying coming in again as I was feeling guilty bring my macs in and not him!

Another break through I have had with Quincy is he will now let me spray him with a spray bottle to bathe! He would only bathe in his water dish before, but I think seeing the other birds get sprayed had calmed his nerves and he is now allowing me to spray him! I am so proud of him!

Quincy has been a really happy bird these days. I think the company of our new additions last year has really made his flock feel complete! He is his fun talkative self these days and is just enjoying life!

Sounds like you have made wonderful progress with Quincy, Blanca! Has he got over the biting issues?

Awww, I've missed seeing & hearing about Quincy. He looks great and is doing so good adjusting to his new flock members.  towel

Sometimes that is just what they need a little birdie company around to take some of the 'stress' of living with their non feathered flock easier to deal with. After all, his flock may not be the same species (his adopted macaw sisters), but they still speak his universal tongue~~ "Squawk-Abilly"  :hehe:
