BrokenWing Chronicles
To big for yer britches (PETA)

Why do good intentions turn bad?
Its a lot of hard work building such a group.
(violent activists)....this is every groups end...this is where support is lost...oh they will live on...call it a slow death.
( aggressive message-marketing to children)....whom do we point the finger at here...PETA for infesting our schools and children...or the school board for allowing this to happen within schools?
How about both?
(Pet Death Toll To 21,339)...this simply will not work for me...at all...

I have seen and heard enough, I am a compassionate man, I try to see the good in everything, I have stood by PETA, I have even defended the group at times..its time to sever ties..I will not go down with a sinking ship...

So...PETA kills 21,339 in 2008.
Minneapolis/St Paul Humane Society kills 41,000 in 2008.
Over 4 million killed in the USA in 2008.

Do these numbers scare you?
They scare the hell out of me!

PETA Killed 95 Percent of Adoptable Pets in its Care During 2008
Hypocritical Animal Rights Group’s 2008 Disclosures Bring Pet Death Toll To 21,339

In addition to exposing PETA’s hypocritical record of killing defenseless animals, the Center for Consumer Freedom has publicized the animal rights group’s ties to violent activists, and shed light on its aggressive message-marketing to children.

Its just another year of killing here in the USA...
Wonder what the kill numbers will be for 2009?

Why, why do they put these animals down?  They should whole heartedly go after the mills and such to shut them down forever.  I now rescues and shelters are full, is that why they think it ethical to put them down rather than adopt them out?  Do they try first?   :'(

I do not like Peta, they started out in the right direction, then they just became killing machines. If it was up to Peta no one would own any pets. There was a bird `rescue who Peta was donating funding to, then Peta told this rescue they have to euthanize birds or loose funding, well the rescue lost funding.

When will it ever end? The numbers are just to high! May there be a change in the system and people will be educated and care enough to properly care for their animals. I know that's a far cry, as there is so much that needs to be changed and so many people who could care less either way. If spaying and neutering was mandated for pet owners that were not legitimate breeders it would sure help. Perhaps breeding should halt all together until there is an actual need for it as there are plenty waiting for homes who could be placed in a home instead of awaiting possible death because their place was taken by the greed of mills. Mills need to be shut down forever and anyone running a mill should spend the rest of their lives in a small, dirty, urine soaked cage, in my opinion anyway.

BW~ Kudos for deciding enough was enough where Peta's concerned. It takes great courage to change ones mind about an organization that they once supported and make their decision public.

Through my years working in Psyche and living in this wonderful society I have shut down (Most of the time) trying to figure things out and why.  I learned it is better for my own health and "well being".  This is just another entity standing for one thing and doing another.  Did the power go to their heads?  I don't know? :P

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.
