Justice for ozzi

I came across this today on facebook and was very angry and upset by what i saw and read and i'm sure all of you will feel the same way as myself after reading and seeing one of the images inside the link.

A petition has been set up for ozzi and i will kindly ask that all members sign this as it could have been one of our birds who suffered this fate i feel for ozzi's owner who must be in bits after finding his beloved bird of 10 years please read the article first before signing the petition and let's bring those accountable to justice thanks.

I saw the same story and was just shocked and horrified.  Poor Ozzi and her poor parents.  So very sad!

It made me feel sick inside knowing that there are people out there who would do this to an innocent animal it needs to stop and it needs to stop now.

It's times like this that make me glad i have dogs as my pooches are very friendly and protective of my fids no one is stupid enough to try and take them people have tried steeling stuff from my garden before only to be chased right back over the wall but as it say's in the article ozzi was left unattended on the front lawn which in some way is the owners fault but for what the kid did to an innocent animal he should pay for it in a painful way.

Absolutely horrific!! Words just can't describe how horrible a thing to do to any animal and especially to a beautiful bird!  I just can't  imagine how anyone can do such a horrible horrible thing to anything!!!

My justice for this individual that did this would not be any more pleasant than what they did to poor sweet Ozzi. I just feel nothing less would ever do!!

I too saw this on FB, and was appalled. I did not sign the petition though. I think the Canadian authorities will conduct a thorough investigation and apply the charges allowed by law. Since they already have a suspect and witnesses, I would say justice is in process. I just can't for the life of me understand what all of this petition madness is. I would hate to live in a country where random uninvolved people signing a random petition might have some impact in a criminal proceeding. Here's hoping that will never come to pass.

This is horrid what happened to Ozzi.  I can never figure out what goes through peoples minds when they do stuff like this.  Grey is right though,  justice has to be served through the law.  Things like this happen to animals every day.  I've seen on videos of what happens to animals that go through the slaughter house and the way that they are treated.  It isn't any better.  Makes me not want to even eat.  The only problem is, I get hungry.  It always makes me wish that I had enough of my own property to grow my own food.  Someone cannot be convicted through the public's reaction, but laws can be changed through the public.  There is stuff that goes on that the public doesn't make themselves aware of.  If you knew it, things would change.  I highly doubt that these kids were taught anything about compassion, if they were, they wouldn't have done this.
