I've not seen this before and thought it was a great idea.  I'm sure others have seen it but thought I would post it anyway.

Just make sure the rolls are plain paper, there are many different types, if it's shiny please don't use it.  We have rolls hanging for Henry, Mojo, and Higgy.

I have something similar for Codie, but it is enclosed in a large plastic container. I have to pull the paper out for him as he is just too lazy to fiddle about himself to get that first bit out  :hehe:

Here is a pic of the one I have....

Thanks for sharing with us Lori. I have seen the adding machine paper used as shredding toys, but usually in the plastic holder Wendy has for Codie.

I have not tried this with my flock, I figure my macaws will chew the plastic thingy up first before bothering with the paper.  oh I did try a roll of toilet paper one day with Roscoe & Angel after reading some use it for a fun toy. My boys had fun alright for about 5 mins!  sad8 And I quickly decided that would be a costly toy to get them hooked on & have not given them any more. :hehe:

I still have yet to give one to Yoshi, although I know he would LOVE to shread that!

And YES coffee filters here too Sondra!  Zuri is afraid of them but both Yoshi and HW love em!!  Cupcake papers too!

BTW Cupcake papers and the triangular coffee filters I get when on sale or at the dollar store and use em for cheap easy forager toys.  Take a coffee filter, fill it up, cinch the top and tie it to hang.  The cupcake ones I do like that also or I have put a bunch together with a hole drilled in the center and put bits of treats inside, they stay upright so you can put food in as many as you like and just string em up.

I don't have a pic but one that all of mine LOVE is a string of cheerios, sometimes I put em upright, sometimes I put em across the cage.  And it keeps my daughter busy stringing for a few mins too.   wink1  I do a few for the bunny to toss around and eat too.
