    I bought Codie a new wooden foot toy which I thought would keep him amused for hours! How wrong could I be I hung it in his cage at 8pm last night. Here is a pic of the toy....

Too funny Codie! You should let it last at least a day so Mom will be delighted to rush out & buy you another one. 2funny2 At least he is making good use of the leftovers and not tossing them out like yesterdays newspaper full of poop.  :twirl:

That is why many of us parronts make our own toys, especially us with macaw & cockatoo kids. That would not have lasted long enough to get it attached to the roof wire in my macaw enclosures. lol And like Terri, I use as much of the toy parts as I can til they are just not of value anymore. Once a month I usually buy one store bought toy a piece for my kids so they don't go round telling folks what will listen that their Mom makes them play with hand-me-downs & homemade toys.  slaph  dmblaf

oh  yeah, my flock gets almost exclusively homemade/recycled toys. every once in a while i see a store bought one that's on sale or that i simply dont have the tools/parts to make myself. but generally, its the home made stuff for my flock of demolition experts.  slaph
