While I was trying to get a selfie with Rosie, she decided to preen me a bit and give me some kisses.  :)

Awwww.  loveuk I must say that having that size of a beak that close to my eyes would make me very nervous. This pic just shows the trust between the two of you.

Yes, I do trust her.  She is always very gentle.  UNLESS I am trying to put her to bed.  Then all bets are off and she goes after my hands like nobody's business. Never hard enough to really hurt but hard enough to let me know she's mad.

Awe, I love those kind of birdie kisses.  Chaos used to give them to me, now I'm more likely to loose a part of my face!

How old is Rosie?  I keep praying as Chaos's hormones calm down I'll be once again able to get that close to him.

Thanks everyone!

I love those kisses too, especially when they are accompanied by her cooing.  :)  Rosie turned two on April fools day this year.  I am not looking forward to hormones.  How old is Chaos?

You know what's funny is small beaks scare me so much more than big ones.  Not that I would let any other bird preen my face that way - big or small.  Rosie and I have been together since she was about 2 months old.  I trust her but that is bc she has never tried to hurt me.  Even when she is being a nudge and nips to get an "oww" (which prompts her to laugh), it is my hands, arms or neck.  Never my face.  If that was to change, then we will have to stop with face kisses.

Chaos is now 14 years old, and I've had him since he was 5 weeks.

Hormones changed lots of stuff.  roll

I'm hoping we have some time before Rosie starts with hormones.  How does it go with GWs?  Rosie is my first and only parrot so I am clueless.  What age did Chaos start?  Is it just a spring thing or constant until they get to a more mature age?

Love those photo's Kendra.  Rosie looks so sweet and innocent.  I hope that doesn't change anytime soon.  I don't know about macaws at all but my mothers amazon was always a sweetheart to her and it never changed
