In my tiels, I have a mother, a daddy, a son, two unrelated siblings, and a rescue. Sydney and Bloke were my first tiels and after they had a few clutches of babies they popped out a white faced little boy. I kept him and named him Jesse. Then another pair of tiels I had for a while produced Big Tex and Yellow Rose. Then a couple of years ago my brother called me and asked if I would take in a little grey bird with a yellow face and orange cheek patches. I knew immediately it was a tiel. He said this bird's owners were in the nursing home and not expected to return. This tiel sat in an empty house with a non bird person coming in once a day to take care of it. They brought Bobby to me in a pitiful little travel cage. He is not tame, but has acclimated well to my other tiels. My tiels and budgie (Tor) are cage free in a bird room (they have cages but we just let them roam around free). Out of all of them, Big Tex (who is actually the smallest of my tiels) has the biggest personality.

Anyway, here they are:

Bloke

Sydney

Jesse

Bobby

Yellow Rose

Big Tex

Oh, Judi -- I know you miss them. I miss little Miss. Cinder myself. If you still have one, would you mind posting a picture of that special little girl?

She was amazing....always sweet, despite everything she'd been through.  Happy, and sweet, and loving.  Right till the end. I still tear up when I think about that final goodbye. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life.

Yes, even I get teary eyed over the loss of her. She was special to us all over at Parrot Pleasures. We all worried the day she had her leg amputated.
