Some of you know the trouble I have had with raccoons getting into my wild bird seed. Well, here's a new one for you. We have deer corn and dried corn on the cob to feed the squirrels. We keep this in a trash can with a lid that you screw down to lock. We woke up the other morning to that lid being OFF the can! Those raccoons unscrewed that lid to get to the corn! I don't know what I'm going to do with these wild critters.  hardlaf

laffhrd  Raccoon is like your move lady!

I too have a hard time with my wild seed.  I have to keep it in the garage now.  The squirrels would get in the metal trash cans etc.  I was wondering who was figuring it out, awoke one day to find the squirrel rolling around in the seed like he was rolling in $$ he had from just winning the lottery!   2funny2

Me thinks you should trap those raccoons and sell them to "Ripley's Believe It Or Not", or maybe just take them to a neighborhood that doesn't make 'em work so hard for their meal.  sadbigeye Those poor starving widdle adorable masked bandits! dmblaf

We used to feed them cat food. Well, not actually. We were feeding the cats, but the 'coons would beat the cats to it. We had to change how we were feeding the cats because of it. I didn't want a 'coon to attack one of the cats. But it was fun to look out and see a family of coons roaming the porch. lol
