Frankie is my little man. He was born in 2005 and we got him in 2006 at 8 months of age. He is cage aggressive and does NOT want to get off his cage. Once in a while something will startle him into flight, but as soon as we pick him up he starts leaning toward his cage. So, we have a hands off relationship with him. He also has no idea how to share his toys. If I grab the boing hanging above his cage he starts in with the quaker warning squawk then grabs the boing away from me. We make this into a game. By the time we're finished playing, he's laughing and saying "you're so funny". Yes, Frankie, you are so funny. He can say quite a few things, but his favorite is "gimme a kiss" which translates into FEED ME!!

Anyway, here is my little green man:

Hi Frankie!  I have a soft spot for quakes.  I just adore them.  You two have the touch me not ones and I have the touch me all the freaking time one.  LOL  I often tell him if he gets any closer he will need to be surgically removed

We have a TINY Half Moon Conure who is not hand tame, and we are OK with that due to his advanced age. Max is in his 40s so we won't try to hand tame him. He's also just a bit bigger than a budgie. He will, however, snuggle with us, he preens our faces- my eyebrow and eye lashes & my hubbys beard and stach.

I somehow missed all these Quaker threads, but no matter. I don't think Frankie will mind me oohing & awwing over him today!  hugu

Frankie is such a cutie, I love that photo you have here of him. I remember what you wrote about it when you entered it in a photo contest recently and it is such a sweet sweet story!! loveuk You should tell it here, I just love that story.

I think Quakers are adorable and every time I find out the local pet shop in Abilene has them for sale I have to keep telling myself, "De'Andrea, you have enough birds already~~You have enough birds already!" But I so want one of the Blue Quakers they have every year available. I think the blue color is gorgeous. There are variations in the blue and I love them all. They happen to have some again and thank goodness I just brought Dakota home, cause I know I don't need a new bird right now!!  :lol1:
