Lucy was born in 1996 so she's 18 years old. She came to live with us July 3, 2008. She hates women. ALL women. Loves my hubby, however. She lets him do anything but put a harness on her. She is his  . He loves her too and rarely gets upset with her. She stays hormonal so we have to limit her out of cage time to when her daddy can supervise her or she will go find a dark corner and start digging the flooring. She's also a hormonal plucker. We are working on that and she's let a few feathers grow back in. But please don't tell her. I don't want her to pull them out. lol. Anyway, here is a picture of our little red head.  |

she is a cutie pie! I have always loved the Ekkie colors, male and female alike. They are just so vibrant! I have a hormonal plucker too. Ugh! Stinking hormones, I hate em with me, I hate em with my teenager and my almost teenager, and I hate em with my fids!  |

She is beautiful. We used to have a female vos maeri eclectus until she died last fall. They are certainly beautiful birds. We still have the male and he is in love with me. Maybe a bit too much. He tries to mate with me sometimes and he goes right back in his cage. I can usually tell when he gets excited.  I find it amazing how some birds favor men or women. Our female ekkie was my daughters bird. the male is mine. And our amazons seem to favor my hubby. I guess it is just like peoples personalities too. |
