PLEASE READ ~

I received a very sad phone call from a Wonderful Birdy Momma
who BEAUTIFUL African Grey was put down after all rescue attempts failed after ingesting a clacker from a bell sold by "HAGEN BIRD PRODUCTS" also sells under the name
"LIVING WORLD" this particular bell was on a product called an "ACRYLIC ORBIT" HOWEVER ALL BELLS SOLD BY THESE COMPANIES ARE THE SAME NO MATTER WHAT THE TOY IS!
 BETTER SAFE THEN SORRY!!
PLEASE REMOVE THE BELLS!!!! If you have ANY doubt if the bird can get to the Clacker, TAKE IT OUT!
PLEASE READ BELOW AND HELP BOYCOTT THESE COMPANIES!

Beware of "Living World" acrylic orbit parrot toy.....my sweet mamma congo african grey was lead poisoned so heavily that even UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital could not save her. I purchased the toy at Pet Country,Grange Co-op, and they are aware of the situation, have tracked that I purchased the deadly toy on April 1st and it was the only toy my Gigi had. The toy is sold by Hagen which is a well known and I thought trusted company. I had no idea that the bell tongue contained lead, and that it was so flimsy that Gigi ate it and it got lodged in her digestive tract. By May 21st, she had had a seizure and after xrays showed the metal we immediately went into heroic efforts to save her. Bottom line, I would boycott Hagen, especially"Living World" toys, and have any of your birds tested for lead if you own any of these toys. It's not worth the torture and heartache to go thru for you or your irreplaceable bird
