OK, so here are more Ruby Jewel photos. smile3 Ya'll will get tired of seeing this girl. dmblaf She is my sweetheart & she is super cuddly now. hugu She has gotten used to my schedule very well. She turned 8 months old the 15 of May.

Roscoe was very jealous of her the first few days, then he ignored her being around. Now he gets a bit bent out of shape when he sees her on my arm, but ignores her otherwise. I let her play on his play perch by my computer one day while he was on his enclosure of course. He could see her & he was super mad. :pipen: He fussed & screamed about it the whole time she was on it. laffhrd Then for days he was mad at me when he was on his play perch. Such a 'Drama Queen' he can be!! slaph

You can tell that she still looks like such a baby in these closeups.

The 1st two were taken with my new camera, the last one was with my Kodak. My new camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T4i & I love the truer color & better detail it has for the bird photos. Now if I can only learn how to use it to the best of its ability I may one day be able to post some decent photos I can be proud of.  stupid1

These next photos are when I took her outside the 2nd time. She loves going outside, hubby took these with the new camera. I took the one of him holding her. Up until a few days ago she allowed him to hold her too. Now that she is accepting me as her person she doesn't want to get on his arm anymore & he is upset about it. hmm I told him he would have to be her main caregiver & be dedicated to spending time with her. He doesn't spend that much time with her & expects her to be like the dogs & come running. headhammer He's not ready for his own bird. slaph

Thanks Little beaks!!  hugu She is a darling & when you are ready for your own big red bird, you almost can't go wrong with a Green Wing.  thumb

Their personality is sooo much different than my two boys. Roscoe is always busy like a winged monkey. He will cuddle at times, but is not the love bug Ruby Jewel is when she is ready for hugs! smile3 I wanted a Green Wing since i first saw & read about them in the early '80s. It took a 'lifetime' to finally get one & she is well worth the wait!!  loveuk

Thanks everyone. She settled in much faster than I expected. She definitely has a different personality than Roscoe. It is fun seeing the difference in the two species of macaw. Can't wait til the difference in sexes sets in too...NOT!!! 2funny2
