Yoshi is in hormonal hell.  He is now 6 1/2 yrs old and WOW he is horny as a housecat!  Constantly backing up to my ear to mate.  slaph  But not only that he is NIPPY.  Now this is strange to me cuz he obviously has been of age now for a couple years.  Why now I wonder?  But he has bitten Jared and Mark numerous times in the last few days...for just walking in the room.  (God forbid you breathe the same air apparently)  And he actually bit CASSIE yesterday.   bugeye  He took off running down the chair and bit her 3 times before she could get out of the way.   loco6  Jared had a sleepover yesterday and I guess he attempted to kill Justin too.  I was working so did not witness it.

Anyway I am debating clipping the lil troublemaker tonight.  I can't have him flying off to the kids friends and drawing blood all the time.  And I dont' want him in his cage all the time to keep everyone else safe from his wrath.   hmm  Any other ideas??  I really don't want to but don't really see any other options.

i think a light clip here may help tone things down a bit. you and i have both experienced, if they WANT to fly they will unless you amputate a wing or two!  dmblaf  but it might mellow him out a bit til he can get over the hostility. my lil marley has been a bit of a 'housecat' himself and skittles??  :deer:  omg, that bird is downright dangerous. then there's ollie scared1  who's definitely deadly!

i sooo feel your pain.  bangdhead bangdhead

Knock on wood, but none of ours are hormonal..........yet. Powder doesn't show any signs (knock on wood!), but he's on meds that probably curtail the reactions of being hormonal such as screaming, Max is too old (seriously), and Higgy hasn't tried to mount hubs  (yet), and Henry isn't showing any signs (yet). I'll just keep my fingers crossed that when it finally hits it won't be too bad.
