He IS talking to you, about a variety of things. When he heard the car go by, or a door close he looked then said "It's OK." He was telling you about a variety of things......."and the he.... mumble mumble". I heard that a couple of times. I thought I heard a F.U.er thrown in there too!  laugh He's a good boy!

Does he ever sound and act like he's arguing with someone? Powder does that, and when he does you can clearly understand very little of what he's saying except for A$$HOLE and F.U..  bugeye He does what is called talking Tooese, talking in Too language by repeating what he's heard in his past home. Powders former parents argued frequently and loudly. Calebs former home must have been quieter, which has resulted in him actually talking and repeating conversations he's heard in his native Too language interspersed with English.

I envy you, Powder would have been SCREAMING at the top of his lungs being left alone in his room, even though I was just outside of it and talking to him. He IS getting better, just not as fast as I'd like............sigh, the last few days have been rough for hubs and I, not to mention the effect the screaming has on the rest of the flock.  dknow

yeah, sondra, he does do his angry speech too. since being here, he's 'healing' i think and repeats more of what he's heard here. you did hear right, an 'f u' in there. then i ask him if he said a 'nasty' word and he says 'no' Mumble mumble "sorry".... and lots more mumbling. he says something bout 'the bird' over and over, too. he's such a nut. i love when they get 'chatty' with me.

btw, i often sit on the sofa, that's where i was during the video, and he hangs out in his room. when he feels the need to sit with me, he 'honks' at me in a loud guttural way. but if i tell him 'not right now' or 'you can sit with me later' he goes back to entertaining himself.

thanks britt, his cage needs re-toying. lol! he spends so much time ON the cage that i dont always re-toy the inside right away.

yes birdcrazy! i didnt notice it before  you said it but its quite clear, now that i know what he's saying.  dmblaf i'm guessing he picked that up in a home with children, i used to do that when mine were young: one.... two...THREE.  lol
