Sadly to say we lost our little Anni this morning...and all still before the flock is up. sadbigeye
Everything happened so fast, as it can and I believe her to have been egg bound.
Syd had doted on her as always, fed her and kept his eye on her.  I hope he will be alright.  He just loved her so much.  They will get up in a few hours which I am not looking forward to.  I remember when Miah left us and the flock was out of sorts for a while.
Even though Anni was a demon bully to Aussie and her toys she was a sweet little thing with a big punch! and named Anni short for Anniversary, mine and D's.
Fly high little one and look down upon your flock and family with special angel kisses to Syd cwy

sadboy3 Two healthy females and the only two that have died on us all due to egg laying related issues.  I will never get a female again.  Syd aint doin good.  Even though they were different species of parrots they were bonded like no other.  I will have to put Aussie back in in hopes it helps.  Anni was the one bullying him prior so Aussie and Syd should be fine and they are closely related.  Anni was a spit fire, and healthy as an ox.  Seems as though she had an oviduct prolapse.  Been trying to block this out and I feel helpless.  She is with Miah now and free of pain.  RIP sweet little girl and fly high with Miah..........

Thanks peeps~  and it sure is a sad day around here.  We will have to keep an extra good eye on Syd....he hasn't eaten yet but I know he is dead tired and I put some hemp seeds in with his breakfast.
I would prefer to have A cremated but we just can't do it right now so as soon as the Tsunami stops over here she will be buried outside the window where Syd is.  It feels strange to do that because we don't own the property...not that the landlord would mind but we have to do what we can.
Keep Syd in thought!

How much to have her cremated Mar? I stopped in to give condolences. I'm sorry to hear about Anni and Syd, her poor mate.  slaph   sad8  I'm sure you'll both keep them all close under your protective wings.  Females and their egg laying...  slaph ...Makes me think of that Assjunk on BC...  rambut2  ...you know the one.  :somad:   Anyway, you know where to find me if you want to cremate. I would love to help and I'm sure others would as well.
Hang in there.

Thank you guys so much, for the condolences and the offerings! hugu  It's greatly appreciated and it made me cry....however I just called the home, they are en-route on a few things and will call when they get to the office and I will take her in.  I got a quote and if it is that or near it will be doable for us.  I thought it would be much higher.....I know she is a tiny bit but I am sure some places rake ya.  One thing I will do for certain is a private cremation....not multiple pets together.  It will really make me feel so much better to do this.  I would have a hard time taking "help" but I will let ya know what happens.  hugu

Thank you all and for the kind offerings.  You know I could never take $ but after thinking it would not have been for me, but Anni, to honor her as we all would do the same for any fid here.  We can afford this and it makes me feel a little better.  To say goodbye I finally did see Anni wrapped up for the first time and it was painful.  The first time I saw one of my fids dead  sad8  Miah was gone and cremated before we could see her.  She will be cremated with a feather from each of the flock.  We put Aussie back with Syd.  Syd seems a little more lively and Aussie is just lovin his old digs and is flying all over with all the extra room.  Debz?  Good to see you here also, stay around if it is what you want.  Oh yeah Debz, when this happened one of the first things I thought of was that idiot from BC.  :ugstpd:  I almost feel like making a post over there, maybe I will..

 Everything is all set!  I was way off on the price, I have no idea of what I was thinking.  Flock feathers will be with her and she will be sung to...Anni banani shakin that fanny!  The woman said she will most certainly sing to her...it was the funniest sweetest thing.  Thanks again for all your support.  Syd is hangin in there and settling well with Aussie.  Poor guy is so tired though sadbigeye

I am very glad to hear that Sweet Anni will have a fitting send off. happyjack A memento from each of her flock that she can take with her as she makes her journey. loveuk

A song sounds so sweet and that is wonderful that the folks there are so caring. hugu

I've always buried my 'kids', but cremation would be so much more endearing. That is the way I want to go & then be scattered over the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming.  smile3
