The University of Guelph (Netherlands) is conducting an online survey of parrot ownership. The website is www.parrotsurvey.com. If you decide to participate, you would need to register each one of your birds separately (if you want to include them in the survey) and fill out a survey for each one. The stated purpose is to identify the husbandry techniques that are being used for a variety of species, and to determine if there are any potential commonalities that might predispose a captive bird to a maladaptive behavior. This can include self mutilation/barbering of feathers in 'toos to Toe Tapping Syndrome and wing flipping in Eclectus. Remember the larger the sample size, the more accurate the statistical results. The downside is that each survey can take 30-45 minutes
