my son is having a "recycling" (green/Earth themed) party (he has wanted to do this for 2 years now, but I was stumped as to do it before)

and this is the party favor.  everyone is getting one sturdy birdhouse to paint while at the party and then hang once at home :) that way it is a fun thing to do, and the birds have a place to call home!! he was so excited about it!

we will also have a game where we stand the two recycling bins side by side (trash can sized big bins) and have a pile of recyclables I have saved at their feet.  they are to throw as many as possible into the bin from a distance.  the most in wins!

we could also do a relay race, but it depends on how many will participate LOL

everyone had a BALL! they said they wanted to do it again (craft party!) LOL!!! it was an hour of giggling and creativity, and everyone said it was the most fun kid party they'd ever been too..

i showed the photos from the zoo on my digiframe from the zoo (one of the best Xmas gifts EVER btw)

the lamps had critters and "foliage"

I had nature CDs playing on the stereo too  thumb

AWSOME !!! The drcorations are FANTASTIC! The bird houses are AWESOME, the children did so well I'd be proud to hang any one of them out front for all to see, GREAT JOB!!

I love the cake, and all the critters and especially the waterfall!

lol I raided the kids' toy box to find animals of the world, and the boy has an abundance of snakes, etc...  smile3  i find rubber spiders in my shoe from time to time LOL
