He may be. They didn't know...just had him labeled as a Fancy Green Cheek Conure. So I'm guessing he's a mutation, and a beautiful one at that! :D

“My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”

Haha! No more for me for awhile...at least not until I move out and have a full time job. There's no way I'll be able to convince my parents to let me have another right now. :P

Mom actually took it very well. She has even held him a few times ;D He's a great fit to our family, and Dad finally has a bird that he can cuddle with all the time!  Scooter is the reincarnate of my lovebird Sassy- it's crazy! So many things he does are exactly what Sassy used to do. He's such a joy :) and is a lil rascal too! Gets into everything that he shouldn't haha. He loves to be right in whatever we are doing...whether its typing on the computer, texting on our phones (he loves to sit right on my phone and mouth it while I'm texting), writing something on paper, or anything. He's such a mess! Mom was writing a check earlier, and he was sitting on her hand chewing the pen while she was writing :D  Won't be too much longer before she really starts enjoying him I think :)

2 of my own, and paying for Buddy's stuff will be about all I can afford right now on my income. I want to be able to provide everything they need, so I don't want to overload my finances haha. It's not like I have a credit card that I can charge things and pay them back later. I have to make sure I have the cash for food, toys, and if needed, vet bills.

But I would like to maybe get a Caique one of these days. :)  Then again, I have 3 birds for sure coming my way at some point...haha (Pepper Jo-TAG, Birdie-CAG, and Tobie-IRN) and possibly my grandmother's CAG, Harley, one day in the future.  :o :P

The difference between kids and parrots is that it's funny when a parrot talks back.

I never thought I'd be able to get one this soon. :) I was expecting to get one a couple years down the road after I move out and get married. :P  Yep! I definitely think he was meant to be with me and my family! He's a great addition, and everyone loves him!
