Powder had his bi-annual vet visit today, we had bloodwork done and a couple other tests done just to ensure he's a healthy bird. I need a new carrier as of taday because Powder decided to do some remodeling on his carrier. He chewed a HUGE hole in it and was almost able to climb out of it, luckily I keep an oversized, extra thick flannel shirt in the truck so I was able to cover the entire carrier. Poor baby wanted to play "peek-a-boo" with momma while she was driving.

now powder...when the vet said to add some roughage to your diet he DIDNT mean plastic! dont feel lonely, the last vet visit caleb had, he did the same thing. i have a bit of wood screwed across the middle of the hole to keep him in. Now skittles? his is a softside nylon carrier with some nylon mesh screen. its obviously for dogs. no problems. he doesnt even TRY to chew out.

I'm gonna order a small knockdown cage to use as a carrier. We'll have to bolt a sheet of wood onto the back and part of the sides so he doesn't chew the seats. BTW, he WILL chew the seats, he chewed a nice hole in a truck hubs got that was just a few days old, so we learned early on in our relationship that NOTHING is out of bounds.

Powder you don't have a license to drive! HW did the same thing on the way back from Delaware. I bet some chain mail seat covers would look great.

I bet some chain mail seat covers would look great. But exactly how comfortable would they be?

... wouldn't a little discomfort be worth the "cool" factor... certainly would be a conversation starter...
