I have had Dexter and Morgan a little over 3 years. They have never spoken....until today. Morgan is playing with a shredding toy talking a blue streak to it. "Gimme a (then making kissy noises)" "Atta girl" "I love you" "Good girl Morgie" OMG...now Dex is making kissy noises and just said "Pretty bird" "Pretty birdie" "Hey baby" and "Hey baby, what are ya doin" and he's trying the wolf whistle. I don't believe this. Absolutely mind blowing. I moved them out of the bird room last week due to Bella. I wonder how long this has been going on?

they are sooooo smart.  when i first caught kiwi talking i was floored.  i never even noticed it until i had heard tumbler start talking.  then all the things kiwi said started to make sense and i wondered... how much have i missed!!!  such smart little birds they are.  i called kiwi the brains, and tumbly the brawn.  LOL

So Kiwi did the same thing? Thats so funny. I figure these 2 have been at it a while...you don't learn all that in one day. After I stood up and they realized I was there,  :oopse5:  all i heard was "cronk" Too late kids....the jig is up!    naughty

That is great!  lol  Chile did not talk for a long time either and though I knew every parrot has that capability I just never heard of a Lineolated parakeet talking.  Now, he is probably our biggest chatterbox.  headhammer
