I'll give to ALL of your bird funds if you all help me with my hyacinth fund!  ;D  I had a dream last night that I found an escaped hyacinth flying around my house, and I couldn't find the owner so I kept him! Boy was I mad when I woke up.  :P

Poor military, I hope it gets a good home! I go on craigslist every day, and have gotten quite a few deals on bird supplies. For the most part, all of the birds for sale have adequate cages and toys, thankfully. That way I don't feel AS bad that I can't buy them.  :D

ML2- I have bird dreams ALL of the time! The most recent involved me and a kakapo... *sigh* IF ONLY!

Sophie- I will let you all know when I have built my sanctuary and I will expect a visit from all of you! :) Of course I'll have to charge an arm, leg, and a foot like all the other zoos/aviaries out there!

I go on Craigslist all the time as well. It's so sad to see all the birds on there. One that made me mad the other day was this one: http://charlottesville.craigslist.org/pet/1097615633.html   well there's lots on there...it's so sad. I just hope they find decent homes. I also found one on there recently with 3 eight week old lovies with a cage going for 100 bucks. *sigh*

I have found some great deals on cages however, so I can't complain too much. It breaks my heart to see all these birds being put on there though. I've seen about a dozen birds put up on there in the last week.

On another note, anyone know of any bird rescues in Va? I'd love to be able to volunteer at one if it's nearby.

I am absolutely in LOVE with pelicans. Want to contribute to my "Move Jadesmom to Florida Fund? "  Then you can all come to my pelican rescue. AddEmoticons04239

I will most certainly post pics! I told her she HAS to get pics of the parrots for me!

Jadesmom, I love Pelicans too! I call them dinosaur birds. :) They look like Pterodactyls or something when they're flying! Believe it or not, there is a lake about an hour east of us here in  OH that has White Pelicans. It's really neat to see them so far north.
