Thanks, she was egg bound and showed no symptoms what-so-ever. She had flown around earlier, I had just given her scritches, noticed she was "plump", brought her food out and she was panting and having a hard time perching. I grabbed her and gave her to hubs and went about finding a vet that was open to take us in as an emergency case, I had just hung up when hubs said she's gone. Poor guy even tried to do mouth to beak ever so gently.  She was strictly my bird and ever so gentle and never ever bit any one, never even tried to bite. Hubs is upset as he's been the one to hold the last 3 animals when they passed, he's taking this hard, feeling jinxed.

Sondra, please tell hubs to change his thoughts. In 40 years I feel privileged to have been holding every single one of my pets as they left this world. I wouldn't change a thing. I took them into my care and my final duty to them was to hold, love, and comfort them right to the end. This includes 2 dachsunds, 3 german shepherds, 3 great danes, and 23 birds of different species. They all lived long and healthy lives and were happy and loved. every one of them died in my lap, it is not cursed or jinked, it is blessed grouphug
