Looks good.  :twirl:

But, I'm a southern redneck, cause I don't think I've eaten any baguettes... think

It looks like a bread loaf to me, but I'm sure you probably added some kind of flavoring I don't to mine.  dknow

Later on tonight...'er...early morn', I'll have my red beans & cornbread thread on here. The house smells awesome right now as they cook!!  drool

One thing I did notice 'bout your cooking & my cooking Grey. When you cook you have all these cute matching bowls, big one & little ones. happyjack

And when I cook I have all these 'recycled' 'used to be butter' bowls & things.  laffhrd

yeah, i noticed the 'cooking show' style set up he had. me?? i have all the ingredients sitting round at random with measuring cups and spoons. and measure as i go. no pre-measuring for THIS amateur.  dmblaf  but then again, if i tried to make brownies from scratch, they'd be asking for betty crocker pretty quick!  dmblaf

Guilty as charged. I do have the matching mixing bowls, portion cups, souffle dish, torte dish... Hell even my KitchenAid mixer matches!

dinner Those look so delicious!!!!  I measure as I go too but it looks so nice and is handy to have everything all ready to go.....although with some recipes I don't always "measure" out exactly and just "eye" it.

There is a reason for that Mar. Cooking is an art, but baking is a science. When I cook, I freestyle it like my mom and grandma taught me. If you try doing that with baking, the results can be not all too pleasant

Tis is why I DO NOT bake.  If I can't do it off the top of my head I won't do it  notcare

Yep, wishy they are crispy on the outside & chewy in the middle. The only way I like 'em too! thumb

Hope that bridesmaid dress isn't too hideous, what torture! Can't have yummies. sadboy3

Grey, get over yourself...cooking & baking are both just plain testing a recipe & tweaking it to your liking.  laffhrd
Granted some folks can make something taste better than another with the same recipe, but that's cause the better tasting one didn't follow the recipe to the letter, i.e. tweaking. :twirl: Country folk cooking that is, which is what I do & love every non professional bite of it! drool 2funny2

If ya' never like the taste or the way it comes out, then ya' just start with a new idea. dmblaf

No need to "get over myself" in baking if you put too much soda, disaster... not enough ditto, too much liquid, same...to little same...to much salt... ad infinitum. The description of science is to use the same methods, quantities, substances, and conditions and achieving  the same outcome each time. An art is more inspired with room for personal interpretation and by that definition the outcome will never be the same for better or worse
