Well now, I am up in the middle of the night. Nothing unusual 'bout that for me. confused I should be finishing my cleaning. I've been working on my floors for two days now & I always manage to find something else to occupy my time. wink1 Anyway, I decided to do a bit of cooking instead of exerting my energy on menial drudgery.  sad8

I made a couple of batches of....Yummy Cookies!! thumb One batch is pecan/chocolate chip and the other is peanut butter. They came out delicious, warm, moist & chewy. drool

I hate the 'cookies from the hood' type. You know, those hard, tough kind that fight you with every bite you take. :bruce: I call those kind little punk cookies cause they are just a 'wanna' be'.  laffhrd

So, here is the fruit of my middle of the night efforts & I can tell you right now I did enjoy every bite! smile3

Pecan/chocolate chip dough.

Finished product.

Peanut butter cookie dough.

A couple of warm, inviting plates of goodies.

Gonna' eat myself silly now!

Now I'm ready for bed, full and comfy! hugu :twirl:

Almond paste cookies....I don't think I have ever had those!

The dough makes 3 different types of almond paste cookie, plain with a cherry in the middle after you use a pastry bag and star tip to put them on a tray, rolled then rolled in peanuts, and rolled then rolled in powder sugar. The best part is they take about 6 minutes to bake.

Today I made vanilla creme puffs, strawberry creme puffs, a kinda mini creme puff sundae type thing with nuts, chocolate whippedcream & cherries - both vanilla and chocolate, peanut butter torte, chocolate mouse torte, carrot cake torte, cannolis - both chocolate and regular, chocolate and vanilla lobster tails, mini cheese cakes with fresh strawberries, cherries and blueberries, peach connoli cake, checkerboard cake, a turtle cheese cake, and a raspberry cake. I'm sooooo glad I didn't have to make all the rest of the cake orders as there were 15 more cakes today. Needless to say I'm tired, sticky, and feeling my age!  :oldg: :cstars:
