I love paintings but cannot really paint.  then I noticed the family portraits on my wall were being faded/damaged from the sun.  I decided to put a painting there instead that represented our family.  so I found this lady at Blenda studios and wanted a painting with a family of four.

no luck.  then I googled and also came up empty.  then I got up the nerve to try.  I went to the art store and priced watercolor paper.  well, it is expensive! mu hubby got flustered and told me he wanted to buy it fopr me as a thank you for taking care of him all day/night during his recovery.  so he did, and got paints and brushes too.  not top of the line ( i would not allow that! LOL) but second from the bottm.  and I took the inspiration from Blenda's paintings and made these.

I also wanted on that captured the serenity of night, so I made this one, I used masking tape to keep the moon covered til it was dry so it would POP BRIGHT like a full moon...

then I painted this for my mom

then this for my neighbor ..the day her dog died a double rainbow appeared over us as we watched, it was a profound moment for her, a message from the pup and her dearly departed hubby, I painted this with them under the rainbows. I will let you know how she likes it.

to show scale.

so there ya go, will post kids stuff in next post.

loveuk Love them!!!!  I did a similar one with my tablet and a really whimsical and swirly tree.  It gets addictive doesn't it!  They would make great gifts too, they have small/tiny canvas as well.  There is a section at our craft store (AC Moore,,,,not sure if Joanns has them too) but they had all different kinds of mediums for like $5....I have watercolor pencils and chalk...they have oils and reg water colors as well.  Keep up the work, I love it!
