When  you walk in the room and find him beak to beak with your yellow naped amazon IN the amazon's cage!  bugeye

yup deathwish bird the second is at it again.  slaph  i was getting everyone ready for bed last nite and left the room for a minute, came back in and  bugeye  poor caleb was on my arm and i stooped to quickly put him on the floor, but it was such a sudden and unexpected move he leaped and fell, i couldnt stop to check him but had to endanger life and limb to get marley outta ollie's cage, and of course marley didnt want to go, he had his little feet curled tight on the bars, i had to pry 'em loose to get him off. all the while, ollie is getting more and more upset. they were only a few inches away and had already 'faced off' when i walked in. Any minute it would have escalated to actual engagement.   :deer:  everyone was fine,   slaph  of course we all know mr. 10-foot-tall-and-bulletproof  is indistructable... so he thinks!  once marley was safely locked away, i got caleb and tho he was a bit nervous, wondering what happened, he was fine. a little illegal cuddling and he was a happy 'too. sweet angel, when he gets scared or upset like that, i pick him up and he cuddles up to me, puts his head on my shoulder just like a child and will sit there as long as i let him.
so i get to figure out how to clip marley's wings without drew.  think  thankfully, i've been working with him on letting me mess with his wings for months now, i may be able to do it without too much fuss.  dknow

Marley, shame on yer little fanny for scaring Mom that way!  oh

That's one of the reasons little Peta got her wings clipped real quick after coming to my home. I had her out on her cage off in the kitchen area while I was feeding Roscoe in his aviary the 3rd day she was here & all of a sudden he is lunging & pecking at his wire. I couldn't see her for him & then when I did I almost dropped his pellets trying to get outta' the cage fast enough to grab her silly butt off the outside of his aviary. She's small enough to climb through the blocks in the wire & I could just imagine walking away with two halves of a Peta in my hands!  sad8

These littler fiddies are so quick & like you said, they think they are 10 ft tall & bullet proof! Peta was pecking at Roscoe like she had a beak to match his. :deer:

Marley, you'd get along great with Peta. Ya'll could exchange war stories & show off your wounds.  lol
