Anchored at the harbor was the USS COnstellation, we explored it too.

this was an anti-slaver from the early 1800's, it would catch slave ships and take the slaves back to Africa.

officers' quarters

crew sleeping quarters

captain's quarters

the BOTTOM of the ship, the "spine?"

Oh those are beautiful pics!  handshappy

I just love going to zoos, and nature center type places. The more natural like it is the more I love visiting. loveuk

The snake wrapped in the tree with the frogs is an emerald tree boa. They are very pretty snakes. :twirl:

I can just envision Debz climbing the rocks calling, "Come here baby 'teil, come to Momma." "I'll make sure you are safe and well fed... lol

The blue froggy looks like he belongs on the head of a blue man group guy.  smile3  Sea horsey! I love sea horses. They have a very interesting and sad story...that I dont precisely remember. Something about being harvested because they have medicinal properties...really sad...
The jellyfish light assemblage is beautiful. Do the lights softly go in and out?
Sea urchins...yum.  not much in a sea urchin but what is in there is very sweet and yummy.

My favorite display at the Florida Aquarium is the Sea Dragons: large seahorse relatives that look like they were designed by somebody on SERIOUS hallucinogenics
