That is awesome. Still, I would be so worried she wouldn't come back, and would not have the skills to survive. So, how many of you give your birds opportunity for free flight?

I did our Tiels. Right up until a hawk nailed my female, after a $1200 we didn't let them out without a cage. I'm in the process of retraining Momma (tiel) for recall flight in the house. We're lucky we have a 60 foot by 30 foot room for them to fly in. I'm also in the process of training all of our birds to respond to a whistle (cheap 99 cent plastic whistle) in case they get out. We recently had a Tiel get out and panic, and we lost him, no answer to ads or posters. I know someone has Poncho but he's such a snuggle bug that they just couldn't give him up............sigh  cwy
